Yevhen Korf becomes a member of the Supervisory Board of Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University

Yevhen Korf, CEO of NVP ENERGO-PLUS LLC, became a member of the Supervisory Board of Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University.

Among the members of the Supervisory Board of Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University, there are scientists from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the mayor of Kremenchuk, representatives of the deputy corps, and heads of major enterprises, such as KREDMASH, Kryukovsky Railway Car Building Works, Bilanivskyi GZK, Poltavskyi GZK, etc.

‘It is a great honor for me to be a member of the Supervisory Board, to join this respected educational community, and to contribute to the growth of this renowned institution. I admire the achievements of its scientists and its teachers preparing top-class specialists for the energy sector of Ukraine,’ said Yevhen Korf.

In 2023, Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University joined the top 100 higher educational institutions in Ukraine (47th place in the university rankings) and took 55th place in the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities.

Membership of Yevhen Korf in the Supervisory Board is a logical continuation of the well-established partnership between NVP ENERGO-PLUS LLC and Kremenchuk University. Back in 2022, we signed a cooperation agreement, which enables the students to study in a dual education format in Electrical Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electromechanics (specialty 141). Therefore, they acquire theoretical knowledge at the university, at the same time gaining hands-on experience at ENERGO-PLUS.

The enterprise is interested in skilled professionals. We are planning to expand cooperation with the university and increase the number of students to join the dual education program. Apart from that, we would like to raise the scale of financial assistance to equip university laboratories, and to collaborate with the university not only educationally but also scientifically.

‘Many years ago, my ancestor contributed to the development of Ukrainian education in Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts. In the second half of the 19th century, Mykola Korf started over forty primary schools. His remarkable achievements included the establishment of the first village libraries at schools in Zaporizhzhia oblast, which were used by both children and adults. I feel a huge responsibility for the preservation and development of modern Ukrainian education,’ said Yevhen Korf.

Generally speaking, the quality training of personnel is one of the top priorities of our company. Today, the enterprise is actively developing, implementing energy-saving technologies, repairing energy facilities damaged by the enemy, investing in domestic production, and opening new lines of work in the international market. For example, within the scope of cooperation with the Polish manufacturer TWERD Energo-Plus Sp. z o.o, a new production facility covering 2.000 square meters will be created in Ukraine. This facility will focus on the production of high-voltage frequency converters for engines that activate pumping equipment, conveyors, mine hoisting mechanisms, and other equipment at industrial and mining enterprises, water supply companies, and other municipal enterprises.

Undoubtedly, such large-scale projects will stimulate demand for new job openings, whereas close collaboration with the university will help develop the industry in the region and beyond.
