The ENERGO-PLUS team participated in the 4th Škoda Half Marathon ‘Together to Victory,’ which was held on November 2, 2024 by STEEL RUNNERS, the Running community of Kremenchuk.
The participants had the opportunity to test their endurance in one of four distances: 7 km (1 lap), 14 km (2 laps), and 21.1 km (3 laps). For the youngest marathoners, the organizers arranged a special distance called ‘The Kilometer of Will’ (1 km).
In each distance, the top three winners were determined by means of time recording (for men and women separately), whereas no winners were chosen for ‘The Kilometer of Will’.
However, everyone taking part in the race on the first Saturday of November is considered a winner. All participants of ‘Together to Victory’ received medals and gifts from the partners of the event.
ENERGO-PLUS was represented by Natalia Bohoslovtseva (7 km), Oleksandr Kasich (7 km), and Oleksandr Onishchuk (14 km) who took part in the race. Tymofii Dolbin, born in 2012, represented the company in ‘The Kilometer of Will’.
STEEL RUNNERS, the Kremenchuk running community, was established in 2020 when healthy lifestyle enthusiasts decided to unite their efforts, run together and start charity. During 2020-2021, the community organized five charitable races involving everyone who wanted to join. They raised 150,000 UAH which were donated to Namaliui Shchastia foundation for the purchase of Cytostopin apparatus for the needs of the Poltava Regional Children’s Oncohematology Department.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in 2022, all charitable contributions have been transferred for the needs of various units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine involved in combat operations. In particular, Škoda Half Marathon 2024 aimed at raising funds (165,000 UAH.) to purchase a defibrillator for casevac (a frontline evacuation vehicle for the wounded) for Liubart, the special operations battalion.
Notably, ENERGO-PLUS has been actively supporting the Ukrainian military since the onset of the full-scale war. The total amount of the aid provided has already exceeded 8 million UAH. To assist the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the company has purchased and delivered various vehicles, generators, computer and household equipment, military gear, etc. For instance, at the end of October, the company supplied one of the military units with a Mavic 3T quadcopter.
