Modernized learning facilities have been opened at Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University with the support of NVP ENERGO-PLUS LLC. The symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on April 18 in the university foyer.
According to University Rector Denys Zahirniak, the modernization of educational spaces and the renewal of the university’s material and technical resources are essential for attracting students and training specialists who meet the needs of today’s labour market.
“The labour market is changing, and we must respond to these changes. A modern specialist needs to work with modern equipment, which is why we are adapting the educational process to current industry needs. We are grateful to the company that continuously supports the university, helps provide equipment and contributes to the renovation of classrooms,” the Rector noted.
The renovation was supported by NVP ENERGO-PLUS LLC, a Kremenchuk-based company operating in the energy sector. Today, around 100 university graduates work at the company. More than UAH 280,000 was allocated for the renovation and arrangement of the learning facilities.
The project involved a comprehensive upgrade — from repair works to creating a comfortable and practical environment for training future engineers.
During the event, the university leadership also recognized representatives of the company for their contribution to the university’s development.
Letters of appreciation were presented to Yevhen Korf, CEO of NVP ENERGO-PLUS LLC; Andrii Kalinov, Technical Director; and Oleksandr Diakovskyi, Head of the Construction Section.
According to Yevhen Korf, cooperation with the university goes far beyond financial support.
“We work with the university in a comprehensive way, and this cooperation is mutually beneficial. Today, the energy sector is experiencing a shortage of qualified personnel, so we pay considerable attention to training young specialists. If in 2021 we had one student undergoing practical training, then in 2023–2025 this figure reached an average of 17 students per year. This gives students the opportunity to gain real practical experience while still studying,” he said.
The company actively involves students in industrial, pre-diploma and research internships, helping to build its own talent pool.
As part of this cooperation, a modern laboratory base is already operating at the university. During the event, participants were shown a specialized training stand designed for studying automation and energy efficiency systems.
As Andrii Kalinov, Technical Director of NVP ENERGO-PLUS LLC, explained, students have the opportunity to work with up-to-date equipment and study energy-saving principles in practice.
“Modern infrastructure is based on electric drives and control systems. Using this stand, students study the principles of design, configuration and energy-efficient operating modes,” he noted.
According to Tetiana Korenkova, Head of the Department of Automatic Control Systems and Electric Drive, the dual education format is actively developing between the university and the company.
Students can combine their studies with work at the company, participate in real projects and visit production facilities. The company also contributes to the organization of the annual Energy Workers’ Day, which is held as an open professional platform.
“We bring together students and industry representatives to exchange experience, identify development areas and improve the quality of specialist training,” she said.
NVP ENERGO-PLUS LLC plans to continue expanding its partnership with the university by increasing the number of students involved in dual education, developing practical training and deepening scientific cooperation.
For the energy business, such cooperation is not only a response to the shortage of qualified personnel, but also a strategic investment in the quality of education and the future of the industry.
