An energy audit will be conducted at the Regional Water Resources Office in the Poltava region of the State Water Resources Agency of Ukraine.The corresponding agreement has already been made with Research and Production Enterprise ENERGO-PLUS LLC.
‘We have an ambitious plan to develop and implement an energy management system at the Regional Water Resources Office in the Poltava region of the State Water Resources Agency of Ukraine. This plan will allow for real-time energy monitoring at all stages of process management, provide training for personnel at all levels, and introduce an incentive system aimed at promoting energy-saving measures,” reported Vadym Lytvynenko, Executive Director of Research and Production Enterprise ENERGO-PLUS LLC and a certified specialist with over 20 years of experience.
According to Vadym Lytvynenko, energy expenses account for up to 70-80% of production costs at the energy-intensive enterprises with no energy-saving system and culture. Provided systematic measures are taken, in some cases, this figure can be reduced by 15-25%.
The energy audit at the enterprise will include the following stages:
- calculation of baseline energy/utility consumption levels;
- compilation of the lists of equipment with critically low efficiency and unsatisfactory energy performance;
- analysis of energy consumption and production efficiency;
- assessment of the company’s capability to implement an energy management system;
- drafting recommendations for energy-efficient measures;
- inspection of building insulation conditions;
- identification of energy saving potential;
- development and implementation of instructional materials for the personnel working with energy management systems devised to encourage a responsible and economical approach to energy and utility consumption;
- development and implementation of incentive systems for efficient energy consumption.
Further on, the results of the energy audit will simplify a well-argued approach to securing funding for the upgrade and modernization of primary and auxiliary equipment.
Moreover, ENERGO-PLUS plans to attract international funding in the form of low-interest loans, including the ones for modernization purposes.
This partnership is a result of negotiations between Yevhen Korf, the Head of ENERGO-PLUS, and Thomas Krause, the CEO of ALPHA Consulting GmbH.
Currently, within the scope of our partnership with ALPHA Consulting GmbH (Germany), our company is holding technical meetings focusing on developing conceptual solutions and techno-economic assessments, which constitute an integral part of the energy audit. The goal is to determine the technological practicality and financial viability of attracting foreign investment. The major task is to identify economically attractive directions for modernization, which will result in a positive profitability index and increase the current level of operational reliability within the short term. In the future, these proposals put forward as investment projects will be considered for investment by partner banks in one of the EU countries.
