TWERD ENERGO-PLUS Sp. z o.o (Poland) is a manufacturer of cutting-edge power electronic devices. Operating since 1989, the company conducts research, construction, and development in the sphere of electric drives and energy converters. The company holds a certificate confirming compliance of its products and processes with the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system standard.
Being a developer and a manufacturer of state-of-the-art power energy electronics for over 30 years, the company devises and produces: industrial and mining frequency converters, photovoltaic and wind inverters, equipment for electric vehicles, AC/DC inverters for energy storage, rectifiers for electrophoresis, drive and control cabinets, educational kits for schools and technical universities, and more.
The company was founded by Michał Twerd, a renowned engineer, in 1989. From the beginning of its journey, they developed thyristor frequency converters for DC drives. At VIII International Mielec Fair, the enterprise was awarded as “the Most Innovative Product”. The series of vector frequency converters was honored with Prof. Robert Szewalski Grand Prix at TECHNICON 2005 Fair of Science and Technology in Gdańsk.
In 2012, in response to market demands, TWERD ENERGO-PLUS Sp. z o.o. released a prototype drive for an electric vehicle with a capacity of 60 kW; developed conversion systems for solar, hydro, and wind generators to produce electricity from renewable energy sources.
In the same year, six new products were developed (two series of frequency converters: AFC200 and MFC1000, PZGS conversion generator systems, PZWG drive system, FNS conversion drive, and PZGW generator systems).
Aiming at technological development of the electrical engineering sphere in Poland and Ukraine, TWERD ENERGO-PLUS Sp. z o.o collaborates with the Warsaw, Gdańsk, and Lviv Polytechnic Universities, the Technical University of Dresden, and Texas A&M University in Qatar. The company engages talented young people and develops its own innovations.
TWERD ENERGO-PLUS Sp. z o.o participates in exhibitions and sells its products in Poland, Belgium, Switzerland, China, Venezuela, and other countries. Moreover, the company takes part in international projects on almost all the continents.
Since 2015, TWERD ENERGO-PLUS Sp. z o.o has been operating in a new building equipped with specialized laboratories and test stands to facilitate the technological progress of the company.
Since 2023, the company has been a member of the ENERGO-PLUS consortium.

- Serial production of frequency converters with single-phase (AFC) and three-phase (MFC) power supply for standard asynchronous squirrel-cage motors with a power capacity from 0.37 kW to 800 kW.
- Production of customized frequency converters for synchronous motor drives – BLAC/BLDC.
- Production of thyristor power supply units for galvanic and electrophoresis systems up to 400 kVA.
- Production of inverters for electric vehicle drives.
- Production of power plants systems that generate energy from renewable sources.
- Production of fast DC chargers for electric vehicles (EV) conforming to CCS Combo 1/2, ISO-15118, and CHAdeMO standards.
- Production of bidirectional AC/DC/AC inverters for energy storage and compensation systems.
